Protecting Our Brand

How to Protect SEU's Brand

Protecting the SEU brand is a team effort for our entire university community! In addition to following the guidelines and best practices on this site, here are just a few ways that you can be an important part of the future of the SEU brand.

Identify Current Usage

Shifting to on-brand usage as soon as reasonably possible will go a long way in helping build consistency. And, it’s a great team-building exercise!

Submit Marketing Requests

Submitting a request to SEU Creative when a marketing-related item is needed (such as a web page, brochure, social media post, or digital graphic) ensures that these items adhere to the brand guide. Click here to submit a request.

Work With Approved Vendors

In addition to established relationships and ease of billing, SEU-approved vendors have a detailed version of our brand guide, ensuring consistency in print, promotional items, shirts, etc. Contact SEU Creative at seumarketing@seu.edu for a list of approved vendors

Don’t “Go Rogue!”

Brand development and maintenance is all about planning and being dedicated to the goal of one clear, cohesive experience. If you know that you’ll need marketing-related items as part of a project, your departmental goals, or an event, please involve SEU Creative as far ahead of time as possible.

Be Part of Our Brand's Evolution

All brands evolve over time. In fact, this evolution is what keeps us relevant to our audiences and shows the heart of our university community.
One of the biggest ways you can contribute to this growth and evolution is by ensuring that you are following the proper processes for applying our brand and the use of our brand assets. This will streamline collaboration with your department and promote brand unity.

Trademarks & Licensing

Many elements of SEU’s branding, including logos and some phrases (such as Discover Your Divine Design) are trademarked and cannot be modified. Some also require permission before use in external communications.
