LOGO Systems

SEU Logo Systems

To promote unity, clarity, and consistency of our visual identity, our logo systems have been designed to leverage the equity of our brand. SEU is the primary branded entity in every communication. Colleges, departments, branches, and sub-brands are identified within the brand context.

Note: Some logos have been discontinued. Please refer to the logos on this page for all current logos and acceptable use standards. Contact SEU Creative at seumarketing@seu.edu with any questions.

Best Practices

  • Find and download the logo you need below.
  • Choose the correct format based on the logo’s intended use. EPS and PDF formats are intended for print, while PNG and SVG are for digital use. (Want to learn more about file types? Check out this article.)
  • Follow all guidelines listed for each logo’s use.
  • Delete all prior versions of SEU logos and discontinued logos.
  • Please do not create your own logo. The creation of any new logos must be requested and created through SEU Creative, and will only be permitted based on a very specific set of standards, such as the launch of a new college.
  • Please do not attempt to convert a logo to a different file format, such as a JPG. If you need a different format than what is provided in the download links below, submit a request to SEU Creative.

Note: JPG files have purposely not been included in these download folders, as they can cause formatting issues such as white boxes on solid backgrounds.

  • Parter sites who use SEU as part of their name, should refer to SEU Network branding section below. The use of SEU’s primary and athletics logos are not permitted

Identifying the correct Logo

The correct, updated SEU logo includes small modifications to the flame and the U, so all prior versions of this logo should be discarded.

University Logos

Primary Logo
Correct Usage

Use this logo in every instance possible to help build equity and recognition in our brand.

Incorrect Usage

Don’t use the old version. This file includes small modifications to the Flame and the U, so all prior versions of this logo should be discarded.

Flame
Correct Usage
Use the Flame as a horizontal, right-facing element. It is strictly a decorative asset for design materials.
Incorrect Usage
Don’t change the orientation of the Flame (such as vertically). The Flame should also never be used in place of the Primary Logo.
Seal
Correct Usage

The use of our University Seal is restricted to use by the Office of the President and ceremonial use cases (such as graduation and diplomas).

Incorrect Usage

Don’t use the seal in place of the primary logo or as a decorative design element.

Best Practices

To ensure legibility, always keep
a minimum clear space around all
logos. This space ensures that nothing
conflicts with, overcrowds, or lessens
the impact of the mark.
In this example, the minimum clear
space is based on the width and height
of an element within the logo, such as
the letter “S” in the Primary Logo.

The color variations included are the only available options. Please do not use our logo in any other color combinations! Use the logos in full color whenever possible. Logos on red backgrounds should only be used in all-white.

Please Remember:

  • Our logo should be used in its full color/inverse options whenever possible.
  • If using our red as a background color, do not use our full-color logo as it will become illegible.
  • Do not use our flame by itself in black. The flame may only be used in black when it is a part of our primary logo.
  • These are the only approved color options. Do not use our logo elements in any other color variations.

Logo Color Variations

Logos should always be resized proportionally and never cropped, modified, stretched or distorted in any way.

Athletics Logos

Primary Logo
Correct Usage

Use the Fire Athletics primary logo in every instance possible for anything involving Athletics.

Incorrect Usage

Don’t use it in place of the SEU primary logo and vice-versa.

Team Icon
Correct Usage

Use the Team Icon only for specific scenarios, such as social media profile images, uniforms, and selected merchandise.

Incorrect Usage

Avoid using the Team Icon by itself in advertisements, marketing, and promotional materials.

Best Practices

To ensure legibility, always keep a minimum clear space around the logo. This space ensures that nothing conflicts with, overcrowds, or lessens the impact of the mark. In this example, the minimum clear space is based on the width and height of an element within the logo, such as the letter “e” in the Primary Logo.

The color variations included are the only available options. Please do not use our logo in any other color combinations. Use the logos in full color whenever possible. Logos on red backgrounds should only be used in all-white.

Please Remember:

  • Our logo should be used in its full color/inverse options whenever possible.
  • If using our red as a background color, do not use our full color logo as it will become illegible.
  • These are the only approved color options. Do not use our logo elements in any other color variations.

Logo Color Variations

Logos should always be resized proportionally and never cropped, modified, stretched or distorted in any way.

Colleges, Schools & Centers

These logos distinguish a specific branch of the university (e.g. Colleges, Schools, and Centers). These logos should only be used externally if the SEU primary logo is also used on the piece (not in place of it).

Best Practices

  • These logos distinguish a specific college, school,
or center within the university. These logos should only be used externally if the SEU Primary Logo is also used on the piece (not in place of it).
  • The Monogram — the inversed SEU Primary Logo in the red box — is always placed to the left, adjacent to the college, school, or center name, and vertically centered with the university logo. Only the official name of the college, school, or center is used (not abbreviated or shortened versions).

To ensure legibility, always keep a minimum clean space around the logo. This space ensures that nothing conflicts with, overcrowds, or lessens the impact of the mark.

  • The SEU Primary Logo is set in white and centered in our red square (Monogram). Do not use any other color variations.
  • The only color change that is acceptable is in the name of the college, school, or center. Use black text on light colored backgrounds or white text when used on dark colored backgrounds.
  • Do not use on red colored backgrounds, as the square will become illegible.
  • See above for examples.

Logos should always be resized proportionally and never cropped, modified, stretched or distorted in any way.

Departments

To further strengthen our brand, individual departments should use the primary SEU logo on any communications, and follow all best practices listed above. Please do not create a unique logo for your department.

Note: If your department has an email address/Google profile, please use the primary SEU logo in full color on a white background.

SEU Network

SEU Network Logo

The SEU Network logo is intended to show the partnership between our University and other institutions. It is not to be used as a representation of the university.

Best Practices

e.g. <Church Name> College

Continue using current college branding, but add the use of the SEU Network logo as a footer element to symbolize the educational partnership with SEU. Examples include placing the logo in the college’s website footer or on the back of print pieces.

e.g. SEU at <church name>

Please contact Kennedi English at kmenglish@seu.edu for branding guidelines for your site.

To ensure legibility, always keep a minimum clean space around the logo. This space ensures that nothing conflicts with, overcrowds, or lessens the impact of the mark.

This logo should be used in its full color options whenever possible. When this is not possible, use only full black or full white options.

Logos should always be resized proportionally and never cropped, modified, stretched or distorted in any way.

ESE Programs

Both programs are based on the Lakeland main campus. While these programs are affiliated with SEU, they are their own entities and therefore have a distinctive brand identity.

SEU Link

SEU Link is a post-secondary education program for young adult students with mild intellectual disabilities.

Best Practices
